Marc Lamphiere graduated with an Honours Degree in Structural Engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2004. After leading an engineering department within a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm as well as establishing his own practice he returned to complete an MSc. in Energy Management at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2009. He subsequently graduated with a first class honours and achieved the highest mark in his graduating class. As a result of research carried out during this period he was invited to present at the IBM Smarter Cities Seminar and was subsequently nominated by IBM Dublin for the prestigious Worldwide IBM Fellowship Awards Program. In 2010 he participated in the DIT “CORE Strategy” research proposal under the Intelligent Energy Europe research programme. Marc Lamphiere currently works as a project manager with leading renewable energy consultants Natural Power and is completing a PhD in the area of Carbon Price Forecasting through the application of a non-stationary fractal diffusion equation.
