Engineers spreading joy – with robots and pasta

A group of DIT students and lecturers of engineering were invited to take part in Probe, Dublin’s 2016 researcher night organized by the Science Gallery and held at the front square of Trinity College Dublin last week.

Their job was to provide an engineering challenge that would engage visitors in fun combined with learning, and it worked!  The challenge involved building robots and pasta bridges and children, teenagers and parents who came to their booth took it on with gusto!  The DIT students also really enjoyed helping others to learn while learning themselves, and even rainy weather in Front Square didn’t put them off.
