The School runs a number of ordinary degree and honours degree programmes in the physical sciences. Undergraduate programmes make use of e-learning in many areas and begin in first year with the teaching of physics through Problem-Based Learning which the School has pioneered through the work of the Physics Education Research Group. Later, industrial placement or the opportunity to travel abroad are available in Year 3 of all Level 8 Physics programmes (excluding Optimetry and Clinical Measurement).
